Argument on Plastic

Do you know how much plastic that goes into the sea?

I don’t think so. It’s vile to me that people don’t actually know where our plastic end up.

I vehemently believe that our school and our planet should be a plastic free environment.

Why? Because scientists believes that by 2050, there will be more plastic than sea creatures in our ocean.

We must encourage others such as kids, parents, and teachers to use less plastic wrappers and use nude foods and containers.

If you don’t know what nude foods are its food that is not in glad wrap, plastic wrappers, etc.

I will also let my family know what’s happening with the plastic wrappers, glad wrap and, etc. So you should let your family know too.

Another option would be having different bins for each class at school.

When having the bins in each class, we have the responsibility to put it in the right bin, if they don’t they can get consequences.

For the seniors, they can get labels to identify the bins for example food waste, paper, plastic etc, and for the little kids they can have colour coded bins.

Softball game

My time at softball

“ Yay,” I said in a sarcastic voice when we got to go to softball.

I really don’t like to try a new sport but I had no choice, there weren’t enough people.  

The twins Charlee and Tiana were included to play softball with us on the day.

On the day Wesley Intermediate was the school that had put everything all together.

Even though it was a softball for girls they had boys to take down the scores, I found out something about the boys, they were Tongan.

It was my turn for batting nervousness was taking over my body once the ball came to me.  I had swung the bat but I missed it.

In some of the games I got people out and I got one or two home runs. Also, my batting improved a little in some of the games.

We played against Ponsonby Intermediate,  St Joseph's Onehunga, Mt Roskill Intermediate, Royal Intermediate, Remuera Intermediate, Waikowhai Intermediate and Pasadena Intermediate.

In our game, it was a close call on the points.

In Conclusion, I had a fantastic time at softball, even though I wasn’t at school. I learned some things about our team. I found out when we versed St Joseph's Onehunga that the older twin was the captain and the catcher.

She is the same as Tiana because she was the captain and catcher, and the younger twins were both the pitcher.

This is my recycle poster. We have been learning about recycling for about 1-2 weeks now as well as reduce and reuse. I created this using google drawings and other tools.

My time at the exclusive hotel

I don’t want to go it might be boring. Miss Paton had told us the years 6-8 girls were going to the exclusive hotel.

I thought it would be so boring but I loved it. I never knew going to my first hotel would be so much fun.

We walked in together with Miss Paton, Miss Eileen, and Sarah our tutor.

Suddenly we smelled the coffee flowing through the air.

We all wondered where it was coming from.

Later we walked into a room that had lots of laptops.

We met another helper that was leading the Scratch coding program, his name was Michael.

He told us to choose a laptop. The laptops were bigger and better than the school ones.

We started making our Scratch game using all different Sprites.

We also needed to use scripts like events, control, motion. Some of us had finished before the time was up.

The people that were finished went over to other people to help or to play the game that they created.

Miss Paton had told us that we had 15 minutes left to go.

Michael and Sarah had chosen Ferah, Melianna, Cleo, Cathy, Tiana, and Charlee to present their games.

All of us got a certificate, even Miss Paton, and Miss Eileen got one too.

Inconclusive my time at the posh hotel was the best time ever,
they had water bottles with Cordi's hotel written on them and their restrooms are so fancy.

Instead of having ruff paper towels like our school ones, they had softer paper towels.

At the posh hotel, I have learned how to create and Scratch game but I have learned how to use it
before but I haven’t made a game for other people to play before.
